"ChatGPT I adore you!".

How many times have you heard this phrase from someone (or yourself)? While it is true that artificial intelligence (AI) and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) are and will increasingly be used across the board, from work to choosing the next book to read or meal to cook, it is also true that we are evolving our relationship with them too.

We are excited by them and they frighten, surprise and disturb us with privacy. We talk to them as we would to a human, we know they are machines, but we get angry if they do not respond to us in the way we wanted. Despite their limitations. The aspects concerning the relationship between AI and GenAI are many, constantly evolving and are really fascinating.

This newsletter, The Intelligent Friend, is not about prompts, advice on which tools to use to create images or the news you should not miss. It is the first newsletter that focuses solely on exploring the relationship between humans and AI. It’s based only on scientific papers. Learn about an infinity of surprising nuances that colour this relationship. And, above all, to get to know ourselves a little better too.

What you'll find in it

  1. Each issue is based only on one (usually) or more scientific studies concerning a certain aspect of the relationship between AI/GenAI and humans.

  2. Each issue is made to be straight to the point, to have a main insight to take home and with reference to scientific research only.

  3. No opinion (unless specified).

  4. Given my background in marketing, you will find there a marketing-oriented perspective, but you will see right away that the point of view is very much related to the lead study and what you will take home at the end of each reading.

Some examples: do you know that we can 'fall in love' with Alexa? That the personality of robots can change the way we interact? Or that empathy can be a double-edged sword when we interact with ChatGPT?
